Regional Public Safety Member Event Description
These regional events are designed exclusively for public safety professionals and agencies engaged in unmanned aircraft systems, counter UAS operations, and related aviation technologies. Participation is limited to sworn law enforcement, fire service, emergency management, corrections, public safety communications, and other government entities operating in the public safety sector.
Each event provides a trusted, closed-door environment for practitioners to share operational lessons learned, discuss emerging threats, review policy and legislative updates, and collaborate on best practices specific to public safety drone and counter-drone operations. Content is practitioner-driven and focused on real-world use cases, interagency coordination, training standards, technology evaluation, and operational readiness.
These sessions are intentionally restricted to the public safety sector to support candid discussion, sensitive operational topics, and peer-to-peer collaboration among agencies facing similar missions and constraints. Industry vendors, private companies, and non-public safety entities may not attend unless explicitly invited by the Michigan Drone Association for a defined purpose.
Attendance is open to current Michigan Drone Association members who meet the public safety eligibility criteria. Registration approval may be required to ensure the integrity and mission focus of each event.
