The Michigan Drone Association (MDA) is proud to lead one of the most advanced drone response networks in the country, supporting public safety agencies, municipalities, and event organizers with the tools, talent, and technology needed to respond fast and effectively.

Counter-UAS Task Force: At the center of our statewide response is the MDA Counter-UAS (cUAS) Task Force—a first-of-its-kind collaboration between 12 public safety agencies across Michigan. These teams combine resources, intelligence, and operational capabilities to detect, assess, and respond to unauthorized drone activity and other aerial threats.
MDA is the glue holding this network together.

We coordinate deployment strategies, training, and equipment sharing—and we respond alongside these agencies with our own personnel, technology, and mobile assets. Whether it's protecting critical infrastructure or securing major public events, our joint response model brings speed, capability, and statewide reach.

Through the task force and beyond, MDA offers rapid deployment support to our members, including:

-
Deployable cUAS detection and assessment technology
-
Certified pilots and trained response personnel
-
Incident response and airspace deconfliction software
-
Mobile equipment and tactical assets
-
Event support services, including drone overwatch, live video feeds, and coordination with on-site teams
From critical incidents to planned operations like the CRIM Festival of Races, MDA is there, on the ground and in the air, working hand-in-hand with agencies to protect people and secure Michigan's airspace.
