The Michigan Drone Association is developing this statewide portal to support the emerging Low Altitude Coordination Center (LACC) and advance the Great Lakes Integrated Drone Ecosystem (GLIDE) initiative. The platform aggregates information on public safety drone programs, commercial BVLOS operations, and air awareness technologies deployed across Michigan to create a clearer picture of activity in the low altitude airspace.
By allowing agencies and operators to voluntarily contribute data on operational areas and sensor coverage, the portal helps identify where coordination is needed, highlights gaps in situational awareness, and enables stakeholders to better leverage existing infrastructure. Over time, the system will support more effective collaboration between public safety, industry, and government partners while informing future airspace management and integration strategies across the state.
