Events
The Michigan Drone Association (MDA) was founded on a strong public safety foundation through the Michigan Public Safety Drone Association (MIPSDA), and we remain deeply committed to supporting and expanding this vital sector. MIPSDA’s annual Winter Conference and statewide regional events bring together Michigan’s public safety drone community for hands-on training and operational collaboration. These events, free with membership, are hosted in all regions across the state to ensure high-quality, accessible training for all.
Each regional event blends focused classroom instruction with immersive field-based scenarios, covering real-world public safety missions like search and rescue, overwatch, and law enforcement support. Sessions are led by experienced public safety drone operators and designed to build confidence, consistency, and coordination across agencies. These events are exclusively for public safety professionals.
As MDA grows, we are introducing sector-specific events to support each of our stakeholder groups. Additional events for sectors like energy, education, agriculture, and industry will be phased in as engagement ramps up—ensuring every member has relevant, applicable programming that advances their mission.
Thanks to all who joined us for the 2025 Winter Conference—full session videos and vendor resources are now available in the members area. Save the date for our 2026 Conference: April 7–8 in Mt. Pleasant. You can find your nearest public safety regional event on the registration page. If cost is a barrier, reach out—we’re here to help.
